Hi Fern,
I searched the internet a bit, but unfortunately couldn't find a driving school offering English lessons at first go. My advice would be to phone some close-by schools and ask for it. Where I made my license, for example, they offered lessons in English and Italian, but only on inquiry.

Here is a list of a few tens of driving schools in Heidelberg:

I forgot some stuff: Doing the exam in English shouldn't be a problem - for some extra charge you can do it an many foreign languages, inluding - of course - English as well.

So your only problem will be finding a driving school offering English lessons - but I'm sure, there is at least one school in Heidelberg where you can learn the theory in English! ;)

Dear Max,
Thanks a million for your prompt answer.

I contacted 10 or so schools in Heidelberg and none of them give the course in English :( They even told me that the study material also may not be available in English. One guy promised to look for English material and get back. They all said they can give me the mock tests material in English, on which I can practice and take the exam. I am now looking online for English material but have not yet been successful.

Do you know any sites where I can practice the theory exam online and also a book/material. I will buy it myself and go for my license.

I came across your conversation with Max. I am living in a small dorf and its even bigger problem with me :(( I can understand good German but would like to prepare theory in English only. Please let me know if you have already found the English study material. If yes please let me know how and from where I can get it.
